These are exciting times for Republicans! There truly is a resurgence going on. For instance, just through word of mouth our club grows by one or two members every month!

As I think about our young club, I think with excitement of the difference we can make in supporting candidates during this upcoming election season.

Central Whidbey Republican Women believe that with our voice, and through our vote, we can and will make a difference in politics at all levels: local, state, and federal. We strive to educate ourselves and our members; participate in, and speak at, public meetings; conduct fund raisers and educational programs, march in parades and wave signs; write editorial letters; and support candidates by hosting parties and advertising their achievements/views on our website.

I have gotten very involved with a campaign myself. Even candidates who are running for reelection need our support. When I first got involved, I wasn't sure what that meant but I have a better idea now and want to share what I have learned.

Help can be as simple as helping with a mailer to hosting an event. Candidates have very limited resources and campaigns are expensive. So, volunteers are the lifeblood of the process and very much appreciated by the candidates themselves. -- Debbie Cunningham, President

DISCLAIMER: CWRW does not endorse any particular candidate. We welcome all Republican candidates to attend our general meetings and distribute literature.
